S woke up crying at 5am today.
Doesn't sound like a magic moment, does it. Bear with me!
The thing is, because she was crying, and none of my usual tricks made her stop, we ended up being wide awake quite early. In the end, it turned out she was just starving hungry. After a couple of crackers (one for each hand) and a drink, she was perfectly happy to play peekaboo and muck about.
Because we were up early, we got some unusual extra time to play before we had to leave work work and nursery. These times are precious to me, because quite often on a Monday and Tuesday (because I work) I feel like we just rush from here to there and back again, and don't actually take the time to sit down and enjoy ourselves.
This morning, miraculously, we had time for giggles before getting up, before coming downstairs for breakfast, and even after breakfast!
And we're both a lot happier for it!

a lovely magic moment, it's nice when you can step back and appreciate the moment (even if at an ungodly hour)
