The thing about looking for a job is... well, it's only exciting for the first five minutes, isn't it. You think "ooh, maybe I'll be an astronaut", find a copy of the local classified ads, start looking at the jobs... and realise nobody is advertising a position as head moon walker after all.
What if you're considering a move to Paris or Berlin? How do you research the job market over there? Is there a French classifieds paper written in English and available in your local newsagent? (have you ever checked?)
City Calling call themselves "the global recruitment experts" and advertise a huge range of jobs in cities worldwide. They provide a free service to help you ensure the right people are seeing your CV, and that you can find the right position for you. There are thousands of quality positions, with new jobs being posted regularly.
Each employer of the over 3000 posting on the site has to verify their address in order to join, so you know that the jobs you are looking at are genuine positions in verified companies. You can also personalise your job feed so that you are only shown positions you are interested in based on industry, location or you can even get a list of positions that would suit your personality - great if you're not sure yet what you want to be when you grow up!
They also offer more than just jobs; there is expert careers advice on hand, and they offer guidance on a smooth and successful relocation to a new country - great if you're not a seasoned jetsetter just yet!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to research jobs in Helsinki...
Note: this post is in collaboration with City Calling.
Never heard of this company before. Does sound exciting though! Will have a look later.
